Deborah Sowray was born and raised in England, but has been living in the Northeastern United States for over 30 years. She enjoys the magic of this country and the wonderful sense of humor that is at the heart of all things American. She has a B.A. in Anthropology and Museum Studies from SUNY Potsdam and studied painting and drawing throughout high school and college.

She went on from college to be a museum curator in Boston, lived in New York City for over 20 years, and now lives in Western Massachusetts, where she paints on commission in her spare time. Deborah specializes in landscapes, beach scenes, painting pet portraits, found objects, up-cycled wearables and signs for interiors.
