A small-batch coffee roaster located on Florida's Forgotten Coast, Bayside Coffee Co. started off as an idea while Matt and his wife Megan were living in Georgia. At the time, he was working as a supervisor at Northside Hospital and she was an accountant at Kennesaw State University.

After vacationing to Apalachicola and Saint George Island for several years, they began discussing the possibility of moving down one day. They were already roasting coffee at home, when it dawned on them... "what if we took the leap? We could quit our jobs, pack up, and move south." Matt remarks that "It seemed  crazy at the time, especially since my wife was pregnant with our son Henry. After careful consideration, and after Henry made his entrance into the world, we decided to take the leap."

They found an old oyster house in Eastpoint that had a great location for a would-be coffee shop. After months of renovation, they turned the old building into a beautiful coffee roasting facility and cafe where we roast fresh coffee on site and serve delicious coffee drinks.

Bayside Coffee Co. sources their coffee beans from all over the world using sustainable and ethical measures; all coffee is sourced from small, family-owned farms.
